We will demonstrate how to recreate a picture using the various features of Photoshop. We will start by opening the picture and selecting the canvas, then go on to add a new layer. We will then reshape this layer and set the layer style to be gradient and the color to be a gradient between the two colors in the picture. Then we will add a new layer to the canvas and duplicate the gradient and fill it with a color. And finally, we will add a few other layers with different effects to the picture.
The following video will demonstrate the process:
Open the picture
1. Open the picture in Photoshop
2. Select the canvas, or image area, using the tools below
3. Choose Select > All or ctrl-a (not sure which works for all, just use what seems to be the most intuitive with the Photoshop system)

Add a New Layer
4. Choose Layer > New > Layer
5. The new layer will be added to the canvas at the top of the Photoshop file. Notice that it is now selected by the green highlight line. It is still labeled “Layer 2” though, so you will need to change that

6. Click on the name of the layer (Layer 2) at the top of the canvas to change it. You should now see the dialog box that says:

7. Change the name to RGB 2
8. Click OK to apply the changes.

Add a Gradient to the Layer
9. Choose Layer > New > Gradient.
The new gradient will be added to the “Layer 2” layer.

10. If you have used Photoshop before, you probably recognize that you are creating a gradient between two colors.

In this case you have decided that you would like to have a gradient between the colors #E26400 and #DBDDDD.

11. When the dialog box pops up, notice that there is a gradient tool at the bottom.

It was the first and biggest competitor to Adobe Photoshop and even though Photoshop is now free and no longer owned by Adobe, it has kept the basic design and functionality of Photoshop Elements.
Photoshop Elements 11 is the last version of Photoshop Elements. It is no longer under active development.
You can download the latest version (11.0.4) from the Adobe website and use it to download the Elements version 11 update that extends support to 2020. If you want to use Photoshop Elements and don’t mind not having access to the newest features, read on for how to install it and use it to continue enjoying your free copy of Photoshop.

As a reminder: if you are looking for the updated software, be sure to download the latest version of Photoshop Elements 11.0.4 and don’t try to install it via the software update feature. We also recommend that you upgrade to the latest version, as it has several improvements (such as crash protection and overall stability).
It is extremely important to update the Elements 11 software after installing. If you don’t do so, your free Photoshop Elements will become outdated and the updates will be limited. Adobe recommends you don’t upgrade to the latest version until you have at least one update available. It’s always safe to update but sometimes it can take a few weeks to receive an update.
You’ll need to install a modern version of Windows 10 to use Photoshop Elements. There are two methods for doing so, but you can only install one method if you have a 32-bit or 64-bit version of Photoshop Elements installed. See below.
How to Install Photoshop Elements 11 on Windows 10 64-bit and 32-bit
Method 1: Clean Windows 10 Installation
If you have a clean installation of Windows 10, you can use the built-in Windows update to install Elements 11.
However, this method could take a while. You must first update your Windows installation through the Windows 10 Update Assistant.
If you are upgrading from Windows 10 Home, you need to use the utility called Windows 10 Upgrade Assistant. A similar method is used to update Windows 7 or 8.1.
